Luke Hewitson, a 19-year-old goalie from Sunderland, originally joined the team as an U15 player. In 2021, he committed to a professional contract with Liverpool. He was, however, sent out on loan to Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season, who are currently participating in non-league football.Hewitson’s loan was originally only supposed to last until January, but Liverpool consented to extend it through the end of the current campaign.

However, cameras caught him on Wednesday afternoon during Liverpool’s pre-season, where he was practicing with a number of other keepers, including Adrian, Oscar Kelly, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Fabian Mrozek. Hewitson is also visible in the above photo, behind Bobby Clark and James McConnell.
