Our understanding of who will be available in free agency has improved. In the 32nd year of NFL full-fledged free agency, starting quarterbacks and a potential Hall of Fame defensive lineman will lead the class, barring last-minute deals.

Along with the trio of Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield, and Chris Jones, interior offensive linemen will benefit from this year’s crop as well. This year, O-line money are expected to be funnelled inside; last year’s tackle class was a little deeper.On March 11, at 11 a.m. CT, the NFL will open its legal tampering window, allowing players to negotiate with other teams and come to informal agreements. Two days later is the start of the new league year, but the majority of the excitement will occur during the tampering period.

This ranking uses guaranteed money as a general measuring point to assess free agents according to their earning potential. Although some of the running backs have accomplished considerably more than many of the players placed above them, the position’s market has taken a lot of hits despite this being one of the best running back classes in the history of free agency. This equation also takes into account the reality that older standouts, such as future Hall of Famers, may not have the same earning potential as they once did.
