Football opponents for the 2025 SEC conference are announced.
The SEC said on Wednesday that it will still play eight conference games in 2025 in addition to one mandatory matchup with a team from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, or significant independent.
Oklahoma and Texas will compete in the SEC’s inaugural season as a 16-team league this autumn. The 2025 schedule is comparable to what spectators will witness in October of this year. Over the course of the two seasons, schools will play the same opponents they are set to play this year, with alternate sites for home and away games.
Greg Sankey, the commissioner of the SEC, stated in a prepared statement, “We continue to monitor changes across college sports as they relate to future scheduling.” “Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling.”Since the SEC eliminated divisional standings starting this autumn, the 2025 season will mark the second time that the top two teams in the conference standings at the conclusion of the regular season will play for the SEC title.
The 2025 schedule was authorized by the SEC presidents and chancellors last week on the advice of the athletic directors of the conference. The following are the 2025 opponents and locations:
