Dave Canales Issues A Forceful Remark Regarding Bryce Young
Before the 2023 NFL Season began, the Carolina Panthers were the center of a lot of enthusiasm.
After picking Bryce Young, the team had traded up for the first overall pick in the draft, and supporters were thrilled about the potential of this squad.
But Young’s debut season wasn’t quite what was expected of it.
The Panthers had the lowest record in the league at the end of the season, going 2-15.
Although some may conclude that Young wasn’t prepared for the NFL, his teammates and coaching staff think he is more than adequate.
Dave Canales, Young’s new head coach, said to Tom Pelissero recently, “He’s wired for this.”
Even though Canales hasn’t spent much time with Young yet, he already notices some promising aspects of his style of play.
Hopefully, Canales can assist Young in becoming the player he aspires to be, which will ultimately help the Panthers.
Seeing how Young approaches the 2024 season will be interesting, especially in light of his division opponents’ summer signings.
With the Tampa Bay Bucs stopping Baker Mayfield, the addition of Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons’ quarterback position may signal a shift in the division’s dynamics.
The NFC South was once one of the weakest divisions in the league, but those days are long gone.
Young will be more than capable and prepared for whatever the NFL throws at him if he can hack it in 2024.
It doesn’t hurt that the Panthers added a number of depth players in the summer to surround him.
