Another a player Toledo Ends Regular Season with Matches…
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women’s tennis team has secured its spot in the upcoming 2024 Mid-American Conference Tournament and will close out the regular season with a home match vs. Buffalo on Thursday, April 18 before heading to Ball State on Sunday, April 21. The Rockets (14-5, 7-1 MAC) will honor their seniors Cassie Alcala, Julia Kuszynski, Shalini Tallamraju, and Sloane Teske before Thursday’s noon match vs. the Bulls at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.
Sunday’s match in Muncie, Ind. will be the first between Toledo and Ball State since the final match of the 2023 MAC Championship, where the Cardinals won the crown in a 4-1 decision. UT defeated Buffalo earlier this season, 6-1, on March 22 in Buffalo, NY.
With a win on Thursday, Toledo will clinch back-to-back MAC Championship titles and the No.1 tournament seed.
Toledo will host the MAC Championships on Friday-Saturday, April 26-27. The top team from the East and West Division automatically earn a spot in the tournament, and the schools with the next two best records will also qualify.
