How Heat guard who gives Celtics massive issues describes.
BOSTON — Right from tipoff, the TD Garden crowd wanted to make sure Caleb Martin knew they didn’t like him. That was natural, after all, as Martin suits up for a hated rival. There was also some extra animosity after Martin fouled Jayson Tatum hard late in Game 1. On top of it all, Martin has been a massive problem for the Celtics dating back to last year’s East Finals.
Martin wasn’t much of a factor in Game 1, putting up just four points and four rebounds as he didn’t make much noise. But that changed again in the Heat’s stunning Game 2 win over the Celtics on Wednesday. Martin looked just like he did in the East Finals a year ago, putting up 21 points and shooting 5-of-6 on his 3-pointers. The Heat guard described his mentality about being aggressive.
