Despite a pitiful effort against the Kings, Lakers fans challenged Jeanie Buss with a daring two-word plea.

Lakers supporters are still at their wits’ end with their team’s much-maligned head coach, Darvin Ham.

What version of the Los Angeles Lakers fans will see on any given night always appears to be up in the air.

As seen by their thrilling comeback victory over the Los Angeles Clippers under LeBron James’ leadership and their outstanding performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Lakers can compete with the NBA’s top clubs.

However, the Lakers have been disappointed more often than not since winning the first NBA Cup. On Wednesday night, they lost 130-120 at home to the Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers’ physicality makes them a formidable team to deal with when they’re playing at their best. However, head coach Darvin Ham has borne the brunt of the criticism for the Lakers’ inability to perform consistently this season.

Ham, who was mockingly dubbed the “Pockets” by enraged Lakers supporters, took the brunt of the fans’ ire on Wednesday night when the enthusiastic supporters of Crypto.com Arena yelled, “Fire him!” at Jeanie Buss as the owner of the storied franchise exited her seat and headed toward the tunnel, according to Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA.

Lakers supporters have long reached their breaking point with Darvin Ham, and their dismal defensive performance against the Kings gives the much-maligned head coach no favours at all. Although the Lakers have been patient with Ham, it might not be for long before they look for a new team leader.

LeBron James, who left the game early against the Kings due to an injury that was not disclosed, also doesn’t seem to be happy with how Ham is managing the situation. And the Lakers are aware that in order for the club to fulfill its goal of challenging for the Larry O’Brien trophy, they must maintain James’ motivation and satisfaction.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Jeanie Buss and associates will be taking any snap judgments. Fans may be upset, but it doesn’t seem that Darvin Ham will be ousted from his position anytime soon. The Lakers brass seems to be holding its cards close to the vest as they get ready to cash in on their assets in the offseason.
