The real D’Angelo Russell on shattering the ridiculous 3-point record set by the Lakers

It looks like D’Angelo Russell has made his way into the gold and purple record books.

Russell broke the Laker record for most threes made in a single season during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. With 6:15 remaining in the first quarter, he accomplished the record by hitting a left-corner off a LeBron James kickout.

That was his 184th of the season and his first three of the evening for Russell. After that, he made three more three-pointers for a total of 14 points, which helped the Lakers win 101-94. (via Spectrum SportsNet)

D’Lo talked out about his record-breaking night after the game. According to Lakers Nation, Russell remarked, “It just feels good to be a part of one of these types of deals.” Since this is one of the most respected franchises, I’m quite appreciative of the record.I’ll try to break it now.
