At a club in Pennsylvania, an Eagles player performs a hit song by Amy Winehouse.
Jordan Mailata is taking pleasure in his time off. And for good reason—having recently agreed to a $66 million contract deal to remain an Eagles player.
He was happy enough to sing about the offensive lineman being in Philadelphia for the long haul. Mailata acted in this manner on Friday. At the Green Parrot, an Irish pub in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the crowd was treated to the golden pipes of Mailata, a former football player turned singer.
While New Jersey band Code Emo was playing at the pub, the Eagles lineman Mailata was invited up to sing a few songs, including “All The Small Things” by Blink-182 and “Valerie” by The Zutons, which was covered hitfully by the late Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson.
Mailata stated he’s ready to play in the upcoming season to help replace the vacuum on the offensive line and assume a larger role in the locker room following Jason Kelce’s recent retirement.
“I will always seize any chance I get to lead from within,” declared Mailata. “Clearly, with Kelce’s retirement, there is a significant void as the people’s mayor and champion. So all I can do is look forward to returning here and creating something exciting, building on our last year’s conclusion and continuing to expand on what Philadelphia represents.
